Johnston Quarter Horses is located near Newell, SD (just north of the Black Hills).  We have 440 acres of which 180 is irrigated & we do all of our own irrigating.   We are a family operation & both of us work full time.  Bob ( a former Vocational Agriculture Instructor) is a self employed---owner & operator of Black Hills Sprinkler & Landscape, a company that installs & services underground sprinkler systems.

Lorie is a high school math teacher.  We have lived in the Newell area for 35 years & have been raising & riding good foundation quarter horses for 36 years.

  We enjoy spending time with our son, Lonnie& his family.  Our grandchildren are getting the opportunity to know horses as they grow up.
