Foundation-bred mares carrying the bloodlines of King P234, Leo, Alamitos Bar, Chieflika, Three Bars, Hatcreek Dusty, Bart BS and more.
We raised and rode most of the mares. They are mainly daughters & grandaughters of our former studs-- Forty Two King, Leo Shanty by Leo Maudie, AAA Supreme Champion, Coureur by Alamitos Bar out of a daughter of Bart BS and Good Turk by Keleo Bailey, an AQHA champion and cutting son of Leo.
Chieflika, a barrel, pole and roping horse in South Dakota during the 1960s, is a grandsire or great grandsire of many of the mares. These horses produce super arena and rodeo horses. We were fortunate ot have an own daughter of Chieflika, Miss Centava Chief. She lived to be 34 years old and produced 18 foals for us.
The Mares
We started getting the foals by these mares will start arriving about May 5. For information about each mare & her 2012 foal please check out the 2012 Foals page

Stormy has been a great old mare for us. We have sold her colts to people in many other states. Her foals are always very people friendly and have super dispositions, but they also have a ton of athletic ability and speed.

Brandy was my barrel and pole horse and then we used her to raise a few colts. She was also used as the main saddle horse for Chase while he was 3, 4 and 5 yeqrs old. She will be bred to AlamitosSunFrost Son in 2012.

We bought Marie from the Wagon Wheel Ranch (Fred Gist) in Texas in 1998. She has raised a lot of colts for us and they are fast, athletic and have plenty of cow sense.
Honor was the foal Marie had a week after we bought her.(Wagon Wheel Ranch) Honor has King p234 on her papers.
She has been used as a saddle horse for Payton.
Belle is an awesome producer. She is the dam of Jon, the 2011 NDHSRA pole bending average winner and the dam of our AlamitosSunFrost stallion. Her colts have been sold to buyers ranging from New York to Arizona and even to Mexico.
Kelly always produces pretty foals. In addditon to that they are quick and agile athletes with great dispositions.
Breezy is the only daughter of our old Miss Centava Chief and by Forty Two King. Her foals are catty and quick, with great dispositions and lots of cow sense. She is the dam of our buckskin stallion Kings Breezy Doc and also the dam of Bob's favorite saddle horse CJ (Chiefs Centava Miss).
Roy is 22% King p234 breeding along with Alamitos Bar on her papers. Bob rode Roy for several years so she has not had very many foals. Her colts seem to be really fancy and have a lot of speed.
Cider is 22% King p234 breeding along with Alamitos Bar on her papers. Cider is the old foundation style horse. Her foals are usually the smaller, quick, catty athletic type of horses.
Flicka is a 3/4 sister to Hoddy, Brett Wilcox's good calf roping, team roping and hazing horse. Bob rode Flicka for several years before adding her to the broodmare band. Her colts should make great roping and rodeo prospects.
Molly is a really nice mare that we got from our vet. She always raises nice colts. We have sold some to places like New York and Minnesota and others have become youth or rodeo horses in South Dakota.
